JW Marriott Nashville Site Visit

On Thursday, June 15, members of the SRSS design team that worked on the JW Marriott Nashville project had a unique opportunity to visit the construction site and compare the BIM model and design drawings to the actual building under construction. The project, which sits at the corner of 8^th Avenue and Demonbreun Street in Downtown Nashville, across from the Music City Center, consists of a 33-story, 533-room hotel atop a 2-story podium and 2-story underground parking garage.

Sara Taylor of the design team was excited to see the design finally come to life. "Hard work does pay off," Taylor said. "The scale and proportion of the porte cochere is adequate, the relationship with the Music City Center across the street is healthy and the grade and building seem to go hand-in-hand in a comfortable way."
