This 192-cell, high-maximum security death row facility of approximately 70,000-SF is adjacent to the Georgia Diagnostic & Classification Prison. The facility has a central administration / support area and two housing units all connected by an interior corridor. Each housing unit has three wings containing two levels of cells around a two-story dayroom. The high-maximum nature of the facility mandates indirect supervision with enclosed control stations in the housing units. The single cells have sliding security doors and stainless steel fixtures and windows.
