Campanile Retail Addition

Atlanta, Georgia

New Retail Face for Midtown Icon

Located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta on an urban block at the intersection of Peachtree and 14th Streets. The project plans for the redevelopment of the existing 450,000 SF Campanile office building which includes the addition of approximately 77,000 SF of one and two-story retail space intended to activate the streetscape environment as well as the building’s main lobby space. The project calls for anchoring the four major street corners with two story signature retail elements and in filling the balance of the urban blocks with a mixture of high-end boutique shops and restaurants of varying sizes.

Designed in concert with the Midtown Development Design Guidelines, the retail additions will bring the building façade to the street and develop an urban edge that creates an active streetscape. The pedestrian experience of the tree-lined sidewalks bounding the four street façades will be enhanced by the inclusion of supplemental alfresco dining, specialty paving, custom planters, a furniture zone and a special event green roof terrace at the Peachtree and 14th Street pin corner. Incorporating expanses of full height clear glass in retail storefronts will allow pedestrians to have transparent and unobstructed views into shops and assist in creating a visual connection with retail tenants. Projecting metal canopies and awnings will include signage that complements the architecture and generates a brand identity for the various retail tenants.
