This 359-key, 31,500 SM four-star hotel features 359 rooms on eight stories including eleven studio suites, twelve deluxe units, a presidential suite and two levels of underground parking. The architectural design recalls the majestic imagery of the British colonial architectural tradition evident throughout the country. The exterior is finished in cement plaster. The bookend sections of the building project forward to offer an image of stability, while the building’s mid-section is set back from the roadway to accommodate a porte-cochere and landscaped auto court for visual interest at one of Yangon’s busier street corners.
The design of the lobby area blends British and Asian styles, featuring distinctive columns, millwork, stone flooring and a continuous balcony complemented by high-end furnishings. The facilities and amenities provided for guests include three international restaurants, a lobby bar, a disco/pub, a grand ballroom, three conference rooms, tennis courts, a swimming pool/jacuzzi, a fitness club, a beauty salon and retail shops. The building has eight levels and a two-level below-grade parking structure provides space for 156 vehicles.
