This 48 story, five-star, 333-key hotel and 60-unit apartment project is an integral piece of the Mega Kuningan development. The 9,888 SM site is one-quarter of a larger mixed use site. The composition of the tower elements creates a contemporary and complementary addition to the skyline of Jakarta.
The project’s design is an expression of the diverse culture which defines modern Jakarta. The two slender glass towers accent a pattern of major vertical mullion elements, further divided into a minor vertical grid, with a repetitive grouping of horizontal fins to refine the international-style expression.
The base of the project, experienced at a pedestrian level, incorporates a traditional, Regent-style architectural expression as a deliberate departure from the slick, glass-encased towers. This transports an arriving guest from the fast-paced hubbub of the modern urban environment to a place unlike any in the city.
The proportions of the cast-stone and pre-cast concrete columns and entablature are reminiscent of the grand, yet human-scaled, landmarks found in other large cities of such international prominence as London, Paris and New York. While balconies are reserved for the apartments and are recessed into the face of the towers, a mini-atrium at the hotel club levels 20 through 22 provides stunning views of the city and mountains beyond. Two helipads are incorporated into the roof elements for the ready use of any resident. Hirsch Bedner Associates provided Interior Design services for the project.
The 3.8 M floor to floor height in the hotel and 4.8 M floor to floor height in the apartments, provides for graciously finished ceiling heights throughout. The central, internal garden is a shaded refuge from the urban environment. The podium garden and pool roof terrace includes a 50-meter outdoor pool, spa and exercise track, 360 SM fitness center and 1,600 SM spa with a salt-water therapy pool, as well as eleven treatment rooms. Peridian Asia Pte Ltd provided Landscape Design services for the project.
